Exploring Forensics & Medicine


June 17-21 / June 24-27
(no camp on June 19)

Join your fellow MedDetectives on an exhilarating journey into the realms of medical and forensic sciences at our dynamic camp on the newly built Joliet Junior College Romeoville Campus! Through hands-on experiences and engaging activities in the new SIMS nursing lab, students will delve into the intricacies of forensics, unraveling mysteries and deciphering clues. From exploring the duties of a coroner to dissecting the complexities of human anatomy, participants will gain invaluable insights into the world of healthcare and crime investigation. With four captivating field trips, including visits to forensic laboratories, the Will County Coroners Office, and a field trip to Silver Cross Hospital for the day in the life of an EMT, students will witness firsthand the real-world applications of their newfound knowledge, igniting a passion for scientific inquiry and discovery.

*Please note the second week of camp is a repeat of the first week. This camp is for 12-14 Year Olds ONLY.


Drones, Robotics, & Coding Expedition


July 8-12, 2024

Embark on an exhilarating journey at our Robotics Camp, where students immerse themselves in Ozobots, LEGO robots, and Spheros, gaining hands-on experience in robotics fundamentals and their relevance to aviation. Activities include designing, programming, and flying drones. Aviation Day offers an exclusive peek into robotics' role in modern aircraft, featuring plane tours and flight simulator adventures. Participants also delve into Virtual Reality applications, tour a college campus, and visit the University of Chicago's Robotics Department, igniting passion and preparing them for future careers in robotics and aviation.


Astronaut & Future Engineer Adventure


July 15-19, 2024

Experience an extraordinary journey at our Space Exploration and Engineering Camp, where aspiring astronauts and future engineers dive into the wonders of space science. Participants engage in hands-on activities such as meeting real-life engineers, constructing bridges, and identifying constellations in our Star Lab. A highlight of the camp is a thrilling field trip to the Adler Planetarium, where they delve deeper into the mysteries of the cosmos. From exploring simulations of Mars to fostering teamwork and innovation, this camp sparks curiosity and inspires the next generation of space explorers and engineers.


Animation, TikTok, & Minecraft Quest

Join us at the Game, Film & Creators Camp, where young talents explore the realms of animation, Roblox, and Minecraft through exciting quests and challenges. Welcome to Future Chefs and Athletes, where aspiring culinary masters and sports enthusiasts come together for an unforgettable summer experience. Dive into the world of culinary arts with hands-on lessons in human anatomy, nutrition, and even 3D printing of food. Meanwhile, explore the dynamics of sports science with exciting activities like 3D printing sports equipment and learning from college and semi-professional athletes. Don't miss the chance to visit the JJC Culinary Arts Center for a behind-the-scenes look at culinary innovation.
